First off I want to thank concept-on-mac for all the brushes he provided to us on Deviant art as well as his tutorials. I couldn't have done this with out them.

This is Pherion City. Previously Detroit, it was once a heaving weapon and flier manufacturer of the United Territories of the West. In 2085 it was destroyed by enemy imperial armies during the third world war. The only survivors of the now nuclear fall out zone where the automated machine and system AIs. With in once year the city was rebuilt not by man but by Machine and program.

When the war finally ended in 2113, hazmat and UTW military began a nation wide search for survivors of the bombed cities. Whey they came across the new Detroit they hastily retreated after seeing the android population and came back with an armada. The machines planed for their return not with weapons but with banners and fireworks to celebrate that intelligent organic life had survived the war. Puzzled, the humans engaged in negotiations with the machines only to find out that the city was open to all who wished to come. To the machines, within the confines of the city, all were equal.

This unrivaled equality proved evident when the first breed of anthropomorphic sapiens, now called therions declared their existence in 2120. However, long before 2120 scientific archives date the first genetic mutating serum was created between the years 2025 and 2040. Considered abominations by the once ruling conservative governments, all genetically altered humans would face death if captured. Unfortunately by the time the laws went into effect 10% of humans had already altered their DNA. However this matter did not concern conservatives as they began “the cleansing.” Liberal rights activist, humanitarians, and scientist from around the world protested against the conservatives. However it wasn’t until a conservative group open fired on a peace fearing liberal group when war was finally declared. The war was called the LD war for Life and Death, due to the lack of understanding and compassion that the conservative showed towards any organic life. The side looking to save the gene altered humans called themselves the United Territories of the West, while the side fighting to destroy, as they say “cleanse,” Call themselves the Hand of God. For ten years war raged but it was one sided as HOG was defeated at every conflict. Finally after they numbers dwindled and the world cut them off of supplies and rations, HOG finally surrendered to the UTW. From 2050 to present the United States of America was now called the United Territories of the West.

Once the therions declared their existence they were faced with utmost termination by remaining HOGs. Since the experimental serum, as well as the beings that used it, were so secretive, the UTW took little notice upon the declaration of the therions. However remaining HOG conservatives did, and began another cleansing. Distress calls were sent to the UTW but none responded in a manner of concern. However once distress call was intercepted by a Pherion hacker who reported it instantly to the Council AI’s. The machines of Pherion sent battalions of soldier androids to rescue as many of the therions as the ships could carry. This hasty move nearly sparked another civil war between liberals and conservative humans. However, the machines quickly acted and without sacrificing a single life, deterred what could have become the end of the UTW. By sheer numbers they surround the conservative territories, cities, and villages, with an ultimatum. “Lay down your arms or face the same cleansing that you impose and had imposed on the innocent.” Unaware to the HOGs, the Pherions carried only stun weapons, to insure no casualties. An agreement was reached in three hours by the HOG generals and the HOGs laid down their arms and surrendered. The UTW soon arrived and arrested the generals and participants in this genocide attempt.

Before laws were enacted to ensure equal rights to the therions, the Pherion machines welcomed the new breed of organics with open arms and considered them almost as brothers. This was most likely do to the fact that early archives dating back to 2028 had shown that intelligent machines were nearly terminated due to fear from conservative humans.

In 2133 the Pherion machines and therions created an organization called Pherion Reconnaissance Elite Yon. PREY as they were known provided intelligence about enemy territories to the allied nation of the UTW, as well as set up stations for help and relief . They also worked as negotiators quelling conservative uprisings and rebellions.

Pherion from a distance looks like a smog filled city as it once was when it was Detroit, however the smog is actually ozone and oxygen in high concentration. Pherion today is responsible for lowering Earth's temperature to near original levels as they where in the 20 century. With their innovative Bio technology they have extended organic life on earth by more than 10 millennia.

Pherion today is the pinnacle of technology. From bio arc reactor electricity to safe genetic amplification and modification, if it exist the Pherions had a hand in it.
